More than 70 cars have been set ablaze in Malm"o since July 1st alone, and the numbers are increasing. Last night there were nine fires reported in Malm"o in just half an hour.
But it is not just in Malm"o cars are set on fire. Relative to population, V"asteras are number one, followed by Malm"o, S"odert"alje and Boras.
The vast majority of the fires are unsolved crimes.
A record number of Swedish police students quit their education, and the admission requirements are lowered because of the lack of policemen.
Many active policemen give up, quit their jobs and tell about their desperate situation. Even police cars are set ablaze in the most deprived neighborhoods.
Even ambulances are attacked. The leader of the Swedish association of ambulances, Henrik Johansson, tells about employees being attacked and beaten. As one ambulance was responding to an emergency concerning a "fracture" they were met by a group of men and a bullet wound. The medics were threatened not to say anyting - "or else, motherfuckers!"
One of their employees were kidnapped and received numerous death threats.
Johansson also states that violent riots are described in the media as "fuss", "unrest" or "social unrest":"It is alarming that resources of society coming to aid others are met by such madness, endangering the lives of blue light personnel and residents. I think many with me are very provoked by the normalization and circumlocution of the severity of the repetitive violence, especially when political sources talk about preventive and expensive measures teaching people not to attack or assault rescue workers."
Other "challenges" included "car chases on trafficked roads, in which automatic weapons are fired, shootings in densely built areas and lobbing of hand grenades," Johansson finishes.
